Personnel Recruitment, Selection, Appointment and Criminal Records Checks Policy
The Concord School Board herby gives notice that on its meeting on August 1st 2011 the Concord School Board intends to adopt a Personnel Recruitment, Selection, Appointment and Criminal Records Checks Policy. The purpose of this policy is for the Concord School District to select for employment only persons of good character who have the skills and other qualifications necessary to fulfill job requirements while complying with the provisions of state law regarding the recruitment, selection and employment of school district employees and contractors. The principal provisions of the policy are summarized in the table of contents of the policy, set out below.

This policy may be disapproved by a vote of a majority of the qualified voters of the Town of Concord voting on the question at an annual or special meeting duly warned for the purpose, pursuant to a petition signed and submitted as follows: Such a petition shall be signed by not less than five percent (5%) of the qualified voters the Town of Concord, and presented to the School Board or the Concord Town Clerk within sixty (60) days following August 1st 2011.

August 1st 2011 by the Concord School Board. If a petition is filed under 24 V.S.A. § 1973, that statute shall govern the taking effect of this policy.
