- Are you looking for a part-time Summer job that pays $16 an hour?
- Want to help our beautiful Miles Pond keep over 50 invasive plants and animals out of the lake?
- Do you have an interest or education in environmental or aquatic science?
- Would you like to meet other people who love our lake as they come to launch their kayaks, paddle boards, motor boats?
The Town of Concord VT is looking for friendly, responsible people to be Greeters at the public boat access. Duties include welcoming boaters to the lake, providing helpful information about efforts to protect the lake from invasive aquatic species, completing an assessment of boats entering and leaving the lake, and power washing water craft when needed to help prevent potential spread of invasive species.
No experience necessary. Training is provided by the Vermont Dept. of Environmental Conservation, as well as local staff. The greeter station operates seven days a week from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Summer scheduling is flexible, with accommodations for preferred days, shifts and desired time off.
